The Cow's Moo

A couple weeks ago, Rolando Garcia asked for ideas for "flash fiction" stories on Twitter. I suggested "A cow that knows a terrible secret but can’t tell anyone because it’s a cow." This story was the result. I haven't drawn anything in a while, because I've been busy writing, so I took it upon myself to turn it into a 1-page comic, which you see here.

Marker Test

I picked up these new markers at the art shop today, Letraset AquaMarkers. They're a little cheaper than Prismacolor/Copics, but the quality seems to be about the same (give or take). I've never used watercolor markers before, but I love the way watercolor stuff looks, so I gave it a shot. I'm pretty pleased with the results.

24-Hour Comic: Fragment

Here it is, the result of my first attempt at doing 24-Hour Comic Day. Fueled by little sleep, a load of energy drinks, 2 cheeseburgers, 2 2-liters of Diet Coke, and insanity, I worked from 5am on October 1 to 4:55am Oct. 2 to make this. It was...certainly an experience.

In case you're not familiar with 24-Hour Comic Day, it's basically an exercise in madness. The goal is to create, from start to finish, a 24-page comic book. There's no prep beforehand, as far as writing or storyboarding, nothing, it's all done within that day.

If you'd rather read it on your iPad or whatever, you can download it. The file's a CBZ, so you'll need a reader.
